It seems this @ntsa_kenya speed limit thing isn't about road safety; it is about the government wanting to get more revenue by squeezing Kenyans further.

The government is building an airstrip inside a protected forest in Meru. A court ordered work to stop but the construction is ongoing anyway.
This comes after alarms raised as early as September 2025 regarding plans to surrender 50 acres of the forest were ignored.⏳
You cannot spend years breaking a child's spirit and then expect a few words in adulthood to repair what took years to destroy. You cannot teach a child to fear your footsteps, your voice, your moods, and your anger, then expect them to see you as a source of comfort later in life.
We found evidence of construction going on inside the Nairobi National Park but @KWSKenya just confiscated our drone. Currently protests by lobby groups and environmentalists are going on over the construction.

This is prevalent.
A woman says families of rapists shouldn't raise hush money to "compensate" the victim's family, but rather let them (rapists) face legal consequences. A Mothers' Union official asks her "Why are you speaking like you're not a mother of boys?" (Central Kenya)
Some years back, we were running a comms project in Somalia on gender and social inclusion. One issue we addressed was rape and advocated for formal justice process as opposed to traditional Xeer system. During comversations with communities, we dug on why victims' families were reluctant to have perpetrators prosecuted and learned some unexpected truths.
They said that families were afraid to prosecute the accused because they saw their own boys/men as potential perpetrators. When their turn to be accused comes, there will be no leniency. In short, families were more worried about defending boys as potential perpetrators than protecting girls who are already victims.
My "Roman Empire is the realization that my life is a lottery win. Somewhere in Sudan, Pålestine, iran, Afghanistan, Iraq or Congo, there is a boy smarter than me. He is more disciplined, more resilient, and holds more potential in his single finger than I do in my entire career.
The only difference? I am siting in a train and he is sting in the rubble of his dreams.
My "bad days" are his wildest dreams.
My "burnout" is a luxury he can't afford because his only job is staying alive.
It's geographical luck and it's a haunting injustice that we all refuse to acknowledge and look away
"[...] the people capable of dismantling oppressive systems are usually the ones who have already broken away from these family rules. They have already faced the terror of rejection. They have already survived being the outcast."
Just when we think we've seen the worst, the Kenyan political class unleashes an even crazier level of greed... Tumbo lisiloshiba kweli!
This system is hell-bent on breaking us.
