We are working to Stop the Closure of the Inglewood Pool for good. This is the 4th attempt to close this pool. Take the pool of the City's chopping block.
@tony_imbrogno@DanWMcLean As a cyclist, I appreciate bike lanes. But, they have to make sense. 1) Some end abruptly and take you nowhere. 2) Some leave motorists idling and stuck in traffic. 3) Bike lanes are being placed without usage studies. Yes, we need them, but thoughtfully planned out.
@JeffDavisonYYC What is your position on the city admin? We have seen how admin manipulates the council. Often times data provided to Council is inadequate, weak and weighing in to the benefit of the stakeholders. Admin have failed us too. Will you fire top admin?
@calgaryherald Terrible. People should be encouraged to go out and enjoy outdoors. Another form for taking green space away. Then what? City will say the park is not used enough and let’s sell it off?
Capacity is one thing, condition is another. Most older communities have both a capacity and condition problem. YYC City Admin appears to approach of “we will fix it down the road”.

The Onward Homes now tasked with building 350 new housing units near the Franklin LRT Station has a concerning history of neglecting the very residents they claim to serve.
This is the same organization that oversees subsidized housing for seniors, where residents have raised repeated complaints about poor maintenance, deteriorating conditions, and being ignored when issues are reported. And being told, "You don't like it? Go live elsewhere". Pics from senior housing in Bridgeland.
Maybe Councillor Walcott needs this motion for himself.
He continues to claim that the City leases the land where the Inglewood Pool is located.
It’s ironic, and frankly troubling, that a Councillor proposing a motion to monitor misinformation is still getting the facts wrong.
“Walcott’s motion, which encourages a third party, paid by the city, to make the decisions on who is or is not spreading Misinformation-Disinformation-Malinformation.
What could possibly go wrong with that set up?” https://t.co/oTSrccE3IU

Fact check: October 8, 2024 you voted for the closure of the Inglewood pool after hearing the admin confirming they mislead public and the pool was save to use and demolishing cost outweighed the keeping it by far. Not sure what layer of red tape that was.
@WSOnlineNews Fact Check:
I spoke as Deputy Mayor at the menorah lighting when the Mayor chose not to speak. I led the repeal on plastic straw bans and always voted against tax increases.
I also reduced one of the many layers of bureaucratic red tape in the development process.
@floragillespie But hey, as long as Walcott continues to impress Spencer, who presented an ode of admiration titled “Bro” to highlight all the “hard” work Walcott did and how visionary he is, at the WELAP debate. This “child care center” is to be closed; forever.
@KirkLubimov Apparently the offices of Ward 8, Ward 11, Ward 3 followed the same suit and send similar emails to the constituents of their wards. And we are paying their salaries? For what exactly?
