@NutFucker3000@calgarytransit They wasted money on a system that was outdated by the time they were able to actually implement it, and now theyโre wasting more money installing these readers when they need to just cut their loses. Still I cannot use a debit card even after millions more spent
@calgarytransit Scrap the whole system instead of wasting more money on it. It was a bad idea ever since you first started testing it nearly 10 years ago. Canโt even take a debit card in 2025 is a joke. Look at Vancouver as an example, tap your debit and thatโs now your ticket.
@NotDeadPoolYYC@tony_imbrogno@DanWMcLean Give me an example of a bike lane in Calgary that leaves you idling and sitting in traffic. And no, the idea that another lane would solve the real problem which is the amount of cars in front of you doesnโt count, because we know already that it clearly doesnโt solve anything.
@Robocop20223@CalgaryPolice Too many people complain about it slowing them down while driving and these projects get too much negative response from the public. We have chosen our priorities as a city and we need cultural change. https://t.co/sIi9uQHXbe
@Robocop20223@CalgaryPolice The only way to solve this problem is to design the streets around schools to be safe. The school in my neighbourhood has a residential street twice the width that is necessary. The city is installing curb extensions soon to slow drivers, please support these projects.
@Robocop20223@CalgaryPolice Of course they can, but thereโs multiple ways that becomes far less likely to happen when going at slow speeds.
Mainly your field of view increases at slower speeds, but also better reaction time/stopping distance and less kinetic energy to transfer if an impact occurs

No one kicked me out of Alberta, @TheoFleury14.
Proud Albertan here, my home since moving from Saskatchewan in 1991.
You and your #Qanon crew canโt kick me out of my province, and youโre not going to take our province out of our country.
Claim:
"Not as many people will use bike share in the NYC winter."
Analysis:
TRUE. In February 2023, Citi Bike reported ~1.2 million trips, compared to ~2.5 million in July 2023.
1.2 million is less than 2.5 million. It's also an awful lot of people.
@Robocop20223@CalgaryPolice That and there is too many parents dropping off kids with cars. Ironically creating a more dangerous situation overall, which is why itโs safer if your kids just take transit
