@iREUS_SA Ironic that in Daredevil, Peter is training Matt about his senses while at the same time in Amazing Spider-Man, Matt is training Peter about his senses.
@Okuma_Katzu@MojoboJomo Mona from Warioware, she’s been there since the first game.
At bare minimum she idolizes Wario. At most she has a crush on Wario(she finds his nose and stache dreamy)
@RenaldoBingles@haru_ch1 Current sliding timescale, Spider-Man is around 29 and Gwen died when he was maybe 19.
I think he could have a smartphone by 2016.
@Baker21891973@Exalted_Speed The ending text says who they are, Wolverpool and Deadverine.
This was a comedy backup written by Chip Zdarksy, the two characters are irl fans that got Gwenpooled into the Marvel Universe.
@KiraRaptora He still makes What If..?s the good old fashioned way.
Making everyone have a horrible end to justify the main timeline.
(I swear like 90% of the like old What If’s I read ended terribly and they had like 200+ of them)
@2harpe@Dragonslay3r94 I don’t know how editorial works, but isn’t it an editor’s job to communicate to other editorials to make sure all the facts are straight?
Also didn’t SM and Venom editorials merge last year? I keep hearing people complain about that.
@this_isBB@cultofcarnage Ngl Cates and Ewing are two extremes of the same coin.
Cates is “Eddie is Venom.” Dreamstone, Absolute Carnage symbiotes, Uni-Power, Eddie calls himself Venom.
Ewing is “Symbiote is Venom.” MJ wearing it becomes Venom, Dylan wearing it becomes Venom.
@CaprettiFlamer@cultofcarnage Eddie kinda already did that in War of Realms. Wasn’t wearing the symbiote but the Dreamstone and powered up a city and said Everyone is Venom.
@cultofcarnage@elkleist And thinking about it Venom: The End stuff does line up with some of the elements of his first Venom run and his version of the cosmic KIB lore and Eventuality, even if iirc Venom in The End isn’t Eddie anymore…? (I haven’t read it in a long time)
@cultofcarnage@elkleist Honestly you might be right that he took it from here.
Ewing really likes going into the history of characters and incorporating older elements with modern twists into his stories.
Taking this from Venom: The End sounds 100% like something Ewing would do.
@Poster3223@na81992647 Ultimates^2 is well beloved. Loki: Agent of Asgard is fantastic and redefined Loki as God of Stories. His GOTG and Defenders are liked.
Immortal/Mortal Thor is definitely mixed though, people seem to be loving Mortal Thor. But he has more hits than misses.
@codymiddleton98@the_jakestar I just read the book last week, the horse stance while making out with her trying to break her was first book yeah.
The (first?) fakeout was near the start of the second book after their reunion.
@valleofroses@AlexShaneMoore Yeah- a Chinese supermarket I occasionally visit has frozen whole armadillo, I took a pic like 10 years ago and it was $70, I went a couple years ago and now they’re $100+
The good old days when Armadillo was $15.99/lb…
@thevintagecola@_Richval Yeah cause “Peter B” isn’t a comic book character, so they have to stick with the restrictions under being named Peter Parker. Noir is one.
The restrictions were like, “PP cannot be gay, kill, shoot guns etc unless the same alt uni comic did so”
@_Richval@thevintagecola Iirc, the leaked Sony contract had massive amounts of restrictions on Peter UNLESS he had been portrayed so in an alt universe in a comic
Noir could prob get away with everything since he did so in his comic. But it’s prob way easier to change the name than check every time.
@JB_III@Exalted_Speed Marvel did not help the situation, but Paul and ASM hate peaked far before they decided to reveal his convoluted trashy backstory.
@JB_III@Exalted_Speed His backstory was revealed around 24 issues into ASM, and he was introduced in Issue #1.
Paul was just a normal ass guy before then, people were surprised/annoyed to see him in the alt dimension flashback. And he was immediately hated on first issue, I was there.
