Definitely not Jeff Foster, probably a 28 year old video producer who loves basketball and dark humor. From Indiana but follows all teams equally. Let’s be bffs
The Jay Huff trade was the first-ever Grizzlies-Pacers trade. According to the @bball_ref trade tracker, we still have six pairs of teams that have never completed a trade:
Nuggets-Pelicans
Raptors-Hornets
Pacers-Magic
Clippers-Spurs
Timberwolves-Magic
Wizards-Raptors
After departure of Myles Turner, Pacers trade for the 7-foot-1 Huff, who averaged 6.9 points, 2 rebounds and nearly 1 block in 11.7 minutes per night. He shot 41% from 3-point range last season, playing in 64 games after just a total of 31 contests in his first three seasons.
Myles leaving keeps the rest of team together. Opens us to a Mathurin extension, Nesmith extension. Obi stays. Just looking to fill the obvious hole. Mo Wagner would probably be my pick of who is still available
@_317_Indy_@masonyo25 This makes sense as well. I go back and forth with it. I agree he doesn’t fit the system, but he also helped huge in a finals game. But I’d fully support moving him for a long term answer at center. Hadn’t considered that!
All this “Fuck Myles” talk is so stupid. Would you leave 47 million dollars on the table? Not a chance. If you want to point anger at someone, it’s not Myles Turner.
@KickMCFCout @_Facci I agree, the rebounding is a problem. But the issue was there weren’t other options we could realistically get. Looking forward, rebounding has to be a priority for sure
@the2kmessiah If I see him to the Pacers, I will be driving to my nearest gas station and buying a pack of cigarettes. I don’t have it in me to watch him practice half court granny shots before every game. I’d rather sign David Harrison today
There is certainly more dust to settle from Myles Turner landing in Milwaukee, as ESPN reports. I’m being told the big man wanted to remain with the Pacers, who he helped lead to the Finals, but Indiana’s offers for Turner never truly exceeded the three-year, $60 million range.
