@JohnJohnStewart "I'm proud that in the 1990s I chaired RoadPeace"
So you should be.
Anyone who remembers that might well wonder how you've become someone who focuses on those trying to stay safe when there's stuff like this going on around us:
https://t.co/9EVvlCYUNT
@JohnJohnStewart Road safety is NEVER A GAME John.
Especially for the most vulnerable road users.
Unless you mean someone playing games by stirring up "us and them" with a post that pretty much confirms what @MaertensDanny said.
Please stop with the tribalism.
Especially when you jumped a fence
@JohnJohnStewart Me? I'm just a cyclist
BUT APPARENTLY if I say I like going an LTN because it keeps my kids safer
I AM THE PROBLEM.. a "cultist".. an "activist"
whereas you were the guy who ACTUALLY PUBLISHED REPORTS CALLING FOR THEM..
but now posts about your "problem with cyclists".
Now John Stewart must either declare nobody listens to his advocacy, or admit that his past position on LTNs followed by his change of mind have actually cost the public money.
@JohnJohnStewart If you believe your advocacy and that of UKNA have any resonance at all, then are you not ashamed that you have contributed to investment of public money in something you now want to see removed, using more public money?

@rita_krshn@JohnJohnStewart@visitcamberwell UK Noise Association is a lobby group.
John Stewart wrote an article ADVOCATING THE INTRODUCTION OF LOW TRAFFIC NEIGHBOURHOODS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
So please you want to talk about "nuance", at least acknowledge this guy was one of the people who CALLED FOR THE ROLL OUT OF LTNS
@JohnJohnStewart If you believe your advocacy and that of UKNA have any resonance at all, then are you not ashamed that you have contributed to investment of public money in something you now want to see removed, using more public money?
@JohnJohnStewart Because it's important that people see you are criticising THOSE WHO LISTENED TO YOU when advocated for LTNs.
That may include councils who saw your campaigning as trustworthy, based on solid evidence & unlikely to suddenly see you seek their removal AFTER they listened to you.
@JohnJohnStewart@cupcake7166 So you literally have a problem with those who TRUSTED YOUR ADVOCACY, John.
That's what you're saying.
You "have a problem with" those who LISTENED TO YOU.
@DynamoDAVE4@JohnJohnStewart Here was the very same John Stewart literally calling for the introduction of LTNs "across the country".
Are you not able to recognise when you're being taken for a fool for a switcheroo trick?
@cupcake7166@JohnJohnStewart I don't think it's "nit picking" to point out John Stewart saying
"I have a problem with their support for Low traffic neighbourhoods"
is disingenuous hypocrisy, when this is him CALLING FOR THEM!
Literally publishing articles advocating them.
