Im writing a chapter for my ebook which reflects on ADHD and relationships and my conclusion is although I have ADHD it’s important for me to do what I can to maintain relationships with people I care about so its only fair that I adapt because I expect people to be accommodating

Truth is many people don’t understand ADHD or the diagnostic criteria which has a threshold of symptoms that need to be met, there’s some misinformation on socials which can lead to self misdiagnosis, also internalised ableism exists it’s so layered and many things can be true
Asked my Neurotypical friends to proofread chapters of my ebook about Adulting with ADHD and they are so surprised at how draining having ADHD can be they were stressed out just reading about it now I can’t wait for everyone to read it because it really shifted their perceptions

Someone just commented on one of my posts saying autism is overdiagnosed and "everyone isn't autistic," and I'll be honest I'm getting extremely tired of people dismissing level 1 autism...
My autistic son, who is autistic and intelligent, left University in 2021 with a 2:1 degree. Since then he has applied for hundreds of jobs. He has had only two online interviews. He wants a job but employers don’t want to employ people with autism, how to change this(?).#bbcqt
