Does the media reflect the mentalizing findings that males have more mental activity independently and females more mental activity interdependently? #UWJ201 #301
@EricksonMakenna Likability is the most common persuasion I see on media. From the apps I use, most of them have influencers who mainly use likability #UWJ201 #301
@_JaylaNimo The reason I see this the most is because Facebook is an all in one media platform that is easy to use while younger adults have their media more divided into apps specifically for one purpose #UWJ201 #301
@QuangNg32710077 As long as the media being exposed is more beneficial to the readers then what it is replacing. Writing journalistic articles with the highest net positive, beneficial information for the readers would be best. #UWJ201 #310
@kahn_maggie This formality would evolve through the social aspects of the parties. If one party decided to be radical and rude to all of the others, they would be placing a target on themselves for all other parties to hit. #UWJ201 #310
@kahn_maggie A large factor in why the US government is not already like this is the two party system. This system makes everyone choose a side and consequently oppose the other. If there were more parties in play, it would be more likely that parties would become more formal. #UWJ201 #310
The first step to Graber's four journalistic functions is how much surveillance is put on a topic. Does media put too much emphasis on the issues in the world and considering them more newsworthy then other topics? #UWJ201 #310
@sophiefriedberg Print will be extinct by the time I am old. It is way too easy to look something up online and for free then buy a newspaper and carry it around. We do see the increase in popularity of podcasts.. Radio may be on its way out, but podcasts will fill its void.

@AllieKal3 I'd assume that most college students use social media as their most common repertoires. Everyone's social media is different. Even if something on social media goes viral, their apps algorithm may decide to neglect it. #UWJ201 #310
Anti-Elitism of republicans only increases in rural towns around Wisconsin. What other topics have you encountered that are split by a political party due to their geographic location?
#UWJ201 #310
@isabellae_xoxo Both sides tend to completely hate each other the second they find out their political opinions. Also, it's hard to talk to anyone new when I've been stuck in my room for multiple months due to COVID #UWJ201 #310
@AlisonStecker If a news source today was truly big brain, they would realize that a completely fact based, no BS, channel would thrive in today environment. People want to find the middle ground after such a long time of polarization and separation (politically and physically).
Spiral of Silence around climate change intrigues me. How can something 70% of people agree upon slip under the conversational radar? Do you think with enough time of climate change discussions becoming increasingly scarce, we will forget to press the issue at all? #UWJ201 #310
@BrookeP303 Iโve found it difficult to have a set view of a party. With there being only two major parties, it is very common for two people of the same party to disagree on multiple issues due to the fact that whatever party you are aligned with is just the party you agree most with.
