Education culture war is raging in the UK and it's becoming much more than background noise. Lately, the confluence of different scandals involving schools indirectly or directly has shocked. Lobby groups weaponise the curriculum and challenge safeguarding. This must stop.
Imagine how different things would be if schools, health care and social workers were geared up to prioritise and reinforce family bonds? To respond to parentsโ instincts, avoid medicalisation and to help kids deal with the immutable reality of biology? https://t.co/LK5HDy2Owf
Now weโre getting somewhere!
@RishiSunak please respond strongly.
- RSE needs rethinking from first principles.
- All school materials need to be published.
- Exit the UNESCO CSE
- Safeguarding comes before โEDIโ
- Depoliticise the classroom.

Since the schools have gone back the inbox is filling up faster than we can answer with political propaganda, #safeguarding failureโs & misinformation being taught at fact. The rainbow flag award features heavily, look out for it in schools particularly around Cambs & Manchester.
Please keep sharing & donate if you can. @NoSecretLessons work on establishing transparency in schools is essential to #safeguarding. Parents need to know if schools are using homophobic, sexist or misogynistic resources so they can challenge #edutwitter https://t.co/PmcgkHIXat
With thanks to @SafeSchools_UK for their support, and to all donors. You are supporting a cause that is really important for both safeguarding and democracy. ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
Today's focus: In the wake of the @ICOnews decision to keep an RSE lesson plan secret from parents (prioritising the commercial secrecy of a porn-promoting teacher over parents' statutory right to know what children are taught) I ask, is the ICO suitably impartial re sex/gender?
Last year, following new RSE Guidance from the DfE, my 15 year old daughter was given a lesson on 'Consent' as part of the PSHE curriculum at Haberdashers' Hatcham College, in London. It was described as a "trusted and high quality session".
Please support Clare Page of @NoSecretLessons who is challenging @ICOnews on their refusal to allow her access to lesson plans. We believe this is an important case for the #safeguarding of children. It is vital schools work with parents. #RSE#edutwitter https://t.co/PmcgkHIXat
This crowdfunding raises the legal fees necessary for overturning the Information Commissioner's Office's decision to keep secret an inappropriately explicit lesson plan advertising porn & masturbation.
If you support transparency in schools, please share.

Participating in and encouraging children's gender confusion is a violation of dignity. Either safeguarding protocols are not being used correctly, or they are dysfunctional. Whether it is one or the other, parents must feel empowered to dare challenging it.
This also confirms that the government will consult on new Relationship & Sex Education Guidance this autumn, rather than just โgo to printโ. Great news. @SafeSchools_UK@Transgendertrd
Receiving the PSHE Association's โQuality Markโ means resources have ๐ฆ๐๐ญ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ & ๐๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. The effects generally consist in a significant spike in traffic to webpages. More clients.
Formally on https://t.co/EXoin1umcB from 2017 to 2021, it was sponsored by *Durex*, supported by a number of leading RSE organisations & even accredited by the PSHE Association. What does it mean concretely?
