[Not Your Indian @NotYourNDN]

This is how bad #racism against Native Americans got (still is) in #Wisconsin over spear fishing. And worse…

In a #NationalPark- they dumped dirty a** water in feeding grounds to whales, sea lions, puffin, herring, sea otter, seals, and more. The land that our Native people have been banned from accessing despite it being their ancestral home and hunting lands.

There is an elementary school in Waxahachie, Texas regularly dressing children in faux warbonnets, each as "Big Chief of the Week."

People who are okay with stealing others' indentities and mocking others' cultures must not be getting enough fulfillment from their own cultures. Those so vehemently defending something as superficial and silly as a race-based mascot reveal their own identity issues.

So let's get this straight...

@KevinHart4real thinks Indians are the "robbers?"

Stop selling racism.

[Not Your Mascot @NotYourMascot]

It is simple: turning people of color into mascots is wrong. It is degrading and dehumanizing. Yet over 2000 schools appropriate #Native imagery in their logos. Some have straight up racial slurs. This kind of systemic #racism is unacceptable. It is tax-funded #childabuse!

[Not Your Mascot @NotYourMascot]

Cool @Nike but now that you are down with @Kaepernick7 maybe go further and set a real example: stop selling racist gear of certain @NFL, @MLB, & @NHL teams. Otherwise you are still enabling (banking on) #racism being sold to kids. ACTUALLY DO the right thing.

Do you think she might help @LandOLakesInc finally stop using a Native girl on her knees to sell dairy products?

This is one of the many varieties of confusing tweets some of these last defenders of race-based mascots tend to put out there.

Why is @Twitter still enabling/encoding #NativeAppropriations? (i.e. #Blackhawks)? Have they not read about scientifically proven harm?

The other ones are gone.
Why only @NHL now?
Does #racism go in and out of season?

Don't do it half-way. Get your clothes stolen and your hair cut against your will.
