Not the first, but one of the first photos I have in WoW.

It was 2007 and my friend in highschool was talking about a game (other than Tibia/RuneScape) that you could hangout with other people in a vast world.

He said, "make a dwarf rogue on the Hyjal server. You can stoneform bleeds."

I had no idea what he was talking about, but I did it. Then spent days wandering around just exploring. I would meet up with friends who would kill things for me and learn the names of as many people as I could.

If you look to the left side of the photo you can see the gnome mage, Jaden.

I never saw him move, but every day he would just be sitting there in full T3 and the legendary staff, Atiesh.

To this day I still remember the names of a handful of people on my server, even if I never spoke to them.

Soon after I made a priest and leveled wanding everything down and played that until WotLk where I switched to a DK when blood was a physical DPS spec. Alternating between my priest and DK for years.

For years I lost interest in WoW. Id get on for a month or two, then leave again because I couldn't get friends back into the game. The same ones who got me started in the first place.

Years later being in my mid 30s with a 11yo kid and working insane hours, I don't have the same time for WoW like I once did. I find myself getting on less and less, but a few months ago I found the guild, @eGirlsForHire , with @LambbChops and her Husband. This group of people brought back the joy I once had. It felt like I was back with old friends hanging out in Ventrilo again circa 2007 on my $300 laptop just enjoying time together.

I still don't have the same time to play like I did, and games like D4 have taken a bit of my attention again, I'm glad for the people this game brought into my life.

Some are still around. Some have since passed on both in game, and life.

But the memories are forever.
