@helenstaniland There is a problem however that those 18-24yr olds have come through the grooming and indoctrination taking place, through social media and now being taught in our school aswell as through many children’s charities and organisations.
Trigger warning: Graphic Content🚨
So I had this girlfriend once who had caught on that my opinion on trans people was - well - perhaps not favourable. She was one of those psychologists who specialises in gender therapy for kids. And here’s why I’m furious at her:
First, she insisted I come out to meet some of her friends, & I turned up at the pub to a medley of they/thems, trans women & gender fluid people. Not a strand of naturally coloured hair in sight. They were all a bit manic & not at all my kind of people. Whatever, it was one night.
I’d been sat down beforehand by Girlfriend & made to learn all these people’s chosen names & preferred pronouns. Like studying for a damn test. They were all younger than me by at least 7 years. When I politely asked them how long they’d known my girlfriend, the longest answer was “3 weeks”.
So what my girlfriend had done is sense I felt strongly that trans acceptance shouldn’t hurt women’s spaces, decided it was through ignorance, & rounded up a load of trans people for me to meet. Not even friends, just whoever she could find to force on me. Still don’t know why.
It went down as the most bizarre & awkward nights of my life. Every one of those people overshared about either trauma or sexual abuse. It was not a fun evening - it was weird. They were weird. I don’t rate her taste in “friends”.
Worse:
Then came the late night overtime incident. Girlfriend worked for an LGBTQ youth charity & ran a few evening community clubs for them. She was late home one day & visibly distressed & shaking. I asked her what was wrong & while she kept names confidential, she clearly needed to speak with someone.
She told me a young boy (15), one of what she called “her kids”, had downloaded Grindr & after chatting to some guys, had met with a much older man. 35 at least. The deed was quick & then, to the boys surprise, the man deleted his profile & went off grid.
The boy was upset. I let her finish bc I could wait a few minutes to say “that was rape of a minor”, surely? But Girlfriend seemed more upset about the boys privacy. After all, she couldn’t tell his parents & if she filed this with the police they’d be notified. How could she break “her kids” heart & trust & “out” him? He was already low, what could this do to him?
A few things weren’t adding up. I urged Girlfriend to call the police before this 35yo man continued to target young boys (minors) & that became less of an opinion & more of a resolution when I learned the boy never planned on “being with the man” on that “first date” - it had just all happened so quickly, in fact it was a bit rough, & he was “intimately injured”. I wanted to cry.
Girlfriend told me that gay men have their own culture so my horror over the details of the rape of this underage boy was pearl-clutching ignorance. She was torn. To report it would mean to betray the boys trust & he’d be 16, soon. Surely it had been enough for her to be there as a shoulder & he’d now make better choices? I couldn’t convince her to do anything. In hindsight, I should have.
It took me 3 years to click why that incident set off my alarm bells. That wasn’t a little boy, it was a girl. A grown man had groomed a 15 year old girl online then raped her & hurt her & she had informed an adult at her LGBTQ club who did not inform authorities bc this GROWN WOMAN prized the child’s need to conceal from her parents that she was living as a “gay trans femme-boy” & they’d be told once the rape was reported.
And honestly? To this day I’ve never forgiven that ex girlfriend for her poor judgement, failure to protect that child & harmful belief that affirming trans people & helping them conceal is more important than stopping a child being raped.
She shouldn’t be a practicing psychologist. She’s a “Gender Specialist” for “Queer Kids”. One day, J, I hope this incident catches up with you & you lose your license. Unconscionable.
That poor girl. Her poor parents. I hope she found a better protector.
@Andrea4GS How can you support women if you don’t know what one is? How can you stand up for women when you support and enable men pretending to be women
@TTExulansic “Really crazy” … someone said a mean thing to you. I was told I didn’t know my place last week… who do I complain to?? The violence is real
@HazelAppleyard_ Is he going to request to be present while you breastfeed, & deal with postpartum bleeding & check ups so he can experience your womanhood vicariously? That any woman even questions if they are in the wrong for being selective about who is there when they give birth is insane!
@MoniFunGirl@7colourrainbow1@jk_rowling I’m not sure where you are, but here in the uk the ‘third space’ is usually just the ‘women’s and others’ and men’s retain their space, which seems complete counter productive really
@kitten_beloved I don’t understand why heat isn’t commonly used. They warn men not to have hot baths or use laptops in their laps when trying to conceive. 30 days of a hot water bottle prevents proper growth of sperm for like 100 days-it’s been a while since I researched so might not be exact
@roseveniceallan Miscarried, 2 natural births and breastfed for over a year each time but don’t wear foundation, rarely wear skirts or heels and have never managed to apply false lashes … do I have to come out as non-binary?
