@JagsyRedPanda For sure. For me, I never knew why I acted the way I did in certain situations like high stress leading to my shutdowns or getting so irritable in large crowds.
Now, I don’t want my masking to fall off completely and I change, but like you said, I’m me, nothing has to change.
2 weeks ago, at the age of 30, I got a diagnosis of Autism.
It’s put so many things into perspective but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t struggling to come to terms with it.
So, I wanted to ask, are there any late diagnosed autisic individuals who can provide advice/talk?
@ToChaseDawn Depends what you need in life from it.
Personally I needed to understand myself more so I could navigate tricky situations.
Others don’t need the label and are quite content.
I don’t see why being labelled autistic would stop you from skydiving, it doesn’t change your ability.
@GWRHelp please can I ask why do you change trains that are 9 carriages long to 5 with no warning? It makes it almost impossible for most people to use the tickets for the train they’ve bought them for. Like for me as I can only get Advanced Singles!
@kodawolfdog But I’d say if that’s what has happened and you’re questioning your friendship then you know what the right step to take is.
Unless you’re willing to have an open and frank conversation with them and hear their side and explain yours then nothing will change.
Hello my new decade, how am I 30 today D:
No balloons this year on twitter, but at least I got real ones. (I couldn’t work out how I feel about the realisation)
