@FightingFours This is too f*ing true, I'm constantly over thinking potential confrentations. The problem is I'm meant to be the SME of this subject and supposed to be in the job of my dreams, but this is the job that makes me want to call it quits!
Iโm very late to the party, but loving the WLIIA zoom calls on YouTube from last yr. Very entertaining and a great way to procrastinate from lesson planning for next week. Thank you, from a now panicked teacher! @colinmochrie@WhoseRyanStiles@Mangum1@WayneBrady@aishatyler
@TrainingScrew Going well, a lot more avenues to explore than I realised. The web technologies has got me really interested in web design. I've also done the first cisco networking module and will be looking at IT management this October. Let me know if you have any specific questions.
@TrainingScrew I'm halfway through a computing and IT degree with the OU. Time management is crucial but they are flexible, I've asked for delays on assignments due to exercise and career courses on a couple occasions and there's never been an issue.
Dont normally listen to podcasts, but started listening to @ReDefPod on the way to work and now quite keen to see what else is out there. Anyone got any suggestions? #miltwitter
Well, after the limbo caused by coming off the board as lock down hit, and the delay in assignment orders, I finally have a date for moving on! This does however mark the beginning of my last posting and final 3 years in the Army. Still unsure how to process this?!
Valid point. I've never been a fan of knee-jerk reactions. But too many people use the benefit of hindsight to criticise those who have to make a decision and act, sometimes without the full picture. Action always trumps inaction.
@TrainingScrew I went through something similar when I was a Cpl approaching my 12 year point. And again recently with 3 years left. I have the commissioning process to keep me motivated now. I think you need to be able to realise when it's time for a new post and a new challenge.
@Average_S0ldier @RPunter@leader_modern @LowEndLeader @TheMaverickSgt @Fromtheranks @thepagey @ThePlSgt One of my pet peeves is checking chains. Mistakes being made? Add a link to the checking chain! One particular daily piece of office work goes through 4 steps of the CoC before being accepted. Time would be better spent mentoring, ensuring competence and clarity.
