hey, @humble — maybe don't do a CEREBUS BUNDLE. maybe do a modicum of research into Dave Sim and see that he's an avowed misogynist, queerphobe, and child groomer? you know someone's a bad guy when they have a section on Wikipedia called "views on women". kinda a bad idea!
@itsVeeVR@bridgerald@AgeMarkus to buttress my point:
Tiny Survivors didn't steal assets. it took visual inspiration from Tiny Rogues and applied that to a different genre. just like Tiny Rogues took gameplay inspiration from Archvale and applied that to a roguelite structure. this is entirely normal and fair.
@itsVeeVR@bridgerald@AgeMarkus can't believe I have to keep making this point, but Tiny Survivors wasn't a ripoff. it was a pretty obvious homage. it is visibly derivative, yes—but so are Halls of Torment, Zangband, Duke Nukem, and Tiny Rogues.
Wildcard is a completely different story, though.
@colorgravemhin people see "copy paste garbage" and it feels more meanspirited than playful critique.
that being said, folks are also overly defensive of Nintendo, so that could be part of why. I have gotten plenty of how dare you 'tude just from talking about why I don't like SSBU, lol.
@colorgravemhin not really, cuz there are loads of classic Zelda spiritual successors. what I miss are 3D Zelda-likes (Darksiders, etc.). but I do prefer discrete dungeons and your game does look rad.
(FWIW, I think this is just an instance of "text doesn't always convey cheekiness well.")
We're not ready to announce our new game yet... But we are ready to tease it a bit more!
Keep your eyes peeled for our first short, but juicy, teaser coming your way June 6th 10am PT during Guerrilla Collective's Stream!
@worthlessdoggo@coeurdeliqueur@CodeRed_dev@kindanicegames@terrybrash ehHhHh. it's derivative, but it's in a completely different genre and employs a Kenney asset pack Tiny Rogues used to. felt like a pretty clear homage. by this logic, Halls of Torment is a ripoff of Diablo.
not to defend this nonsense. it's untenable. js, it's a shame.
hi everyone. @terrybrash copied my game “dire decks” and is releasing it on steam under a different name without my permission. i have tried to get him to take the game down but he is unwilling to do so. not sure what to do in this situation…
@jasonschreier rn this just seems like Zelnick is using the tenses to try weaseling out of a tough question. "oh, we haven't SHUTTERED them (but we are SHUTTERING them)."
notice how nothing he says is a simple "Roll7 is staying open for the foreseeable future."—what he would say if they were.
The wait is over! Dream Tactics, the final launch of the Freedom Games Publisher Sale, is now on Steam!

Hey! We're Y/CJ/Y a two person game studio that made The Aquatic Adventure of the Last Human, Sea Salt, and POST VOID. We've been working on Keep Driving for the past three years now. We're often kind of under the radar so RTs are appreciated.

@TubaronAzul@fucrate@thesofacommando@DUSKdev again, now. they're getting sweetheart deals *now*.
and even then, Goodbody (a stock analyst firm) that they're already lowering payouts to boutique/"indie" publishers such as Devolver and tinyBuild. why on earth would that not extend to smaller names, too, if it hasn't already?
