🇺🇸🇮🇷 The markets have declared the oil crisis "over."

One of the world's top commodity analysts says that is exactly the WRONG conclusion...

Jeffrey Currie, former head of commodities research at Goldman Sachs, offers an assessment that should alarm ANYONE paying attention to energy markets:

$4 billion fled energy markets last month alone, headline fatigue has set in, and investors are treating Hormuz as transitory...

Currie says that disconnect between what crude futures show and what product markets are screaming is the most dangerous misread he has seen in his CAREER.

The real crisis is already visible in the markets nobody watches: the spread between diesel prices and crude oil is now greater than the oil price itself, jet fuel spreads are at HISTORIC extremes, and there's NO strategic reserve on the product side to buffer what comes next.

"I have never seen a market like this. Never..."

The July reprieve from Iranian oil flooding markets is already reversing, inventories are heading back down in August, and it's only a matter of time before the product shortage bleeds into crude.

Markets have a habit of being wrong right up until they are catastrophically right...

The latest 3-month Spachus data shows median selling times have increased across all 16 markets compared with the previous 3 months:

🔴 Adelaide: 21 → 28 days (+33%)
🔴 Townsville: 22 → 29 days (+32%)
🔴 Hobart: 28 → 33 days (+18%)
🔴 Sydney: 27 → 35 days (+30%)
🔴 Wollongong: 24 → 36 days (+50%)
🔴 Melbourne: 27 → 37 days (+37%)
🔴 Brisbane: 25 → 38 days (+52%)
🔴 Darwin: 34 → 38 days (+12%)
🔴 Newcastle: 25 → 39 days (+56%)
🔴 Cairns: 29 → 42 days (+45%)
🔴 Canberra: 36 → 42.5 days (+18%)
🔴 Geelong: 31 → 43 days (+39%)
🔴 Gold Coast: 34 → 43 days (+26%)
🔴 Perth: 27 → 44 days (+63%)
🔴 Central Coast: 29 → 46 days (+59%)
🔴 Sunshine Coast: 39.5 → 46 days (+16%)

📈 Perth recorded the largest percentage increase, with selling times jumping almost 63%, followed by the Central Coast (+59%), Newcastle (+56%) and Brisbane (+52%).

Not one of these 16 markets recorded a faster median selling time.

Properties are still selling — but buyers are taking longer to make their move.

Explosions have been heard in Saudi Arabia's Jubail, with fires being reported at gas facilities...

Arab sources are reporting that Jubail Industrial City was hit, though the cause of any blast remains unclear.

The site is is one of the world's LARGEST petrochemical and industrial hubs, accounting for 6-8% of global petrochemical supply.

Back in April, it was targeted by Iran in missile and drone barrages... this time, very likely the Houthis.

Last night, I chose not to say anything because I did not want to worry my family and friends.

I am currently on vacation in Marbella, Spain. In just one week, we have witnessed incidents that have created fear and disrupted public safety, first in Madrid and now in Marbella, including a bomb threat that affected tourists here in Marbella.

Thankfully, we are all safe. My thoughts are with the people of Spain, who deserve secure borders, public safety, law and order, and the freedom to enjoy their own country without fear.
