@owendanoff@TheWheelOfTime The cast and other crew have talked about how depicting channelling this season involved a lot of work between individual actors and the VFX team to get unique styles for individual characters - hearing more about that from the VFX perspective would be great!
@sionat19@WotTVSeries Second season for WoT vs first season for the other two - most casual viewers don't leave a review until they've watched a whole season of something.
@UnravelingWoT Amazon generally does the x-ray details right before release (e.g. Gaiman's said the ones for Good Omens were done after the strike, and so didn't involve him). Very high chance they just haven't been vetted - which is also why we don't have the trivia from Sarah this season.
@Dani_Michaels_ @lordmatcauthon Whip Media has it as the ninth-most-streamed show in the US in premiere week, and out of the top ten after that. https://t.co/KUPNkGKgUb
They're a very online fandom, at the peak of engagement. Doesn't always mean far-reaching. (Though it's excellent, and should be!)
@RationalNerd She name-checks working with Lindsay Duncan in the Looper interview (https://t.co/KN0mMKtXhj), so I'd assume her, particularly given she's playing Moiraine's sister?
@WoTUp5@AnnaKendrick47@GroovyBruce@kateesackhoff@iam_seanbean as the Mayor of Hinderstap.
No pre-flagging, nothing, just leave show-only watchers to be confused about why he broke his "no dying any more" rule for *that*, until the reveal. Feels like it'd amuse him.
@mostlybree@WotTVSeries@celticmyst08 I always assumed a combination of:
a) Taringail had designs on the Sun Throne for his first son; and
b) Gawyn and Elayne are hinted to be unsubtly Thom's children, so he was hardly going to spend capital with the woman he was plotting to kill in order to give them his name.
He's signed up to exactly the karmic purgatory his apparent views deserve. I propose the fandom ignore him, except for occasional bursts of praise for his nuanced deconstruction of toxic masculinity. Let him squirm on his own hook, he'll hate it far more than any condemnation. 4.
Not exactly the thing I'd planned to reactivate my being-hype-about-WoT-fan-things account for, but: an observation about the Galad-casting's... unfortunate views:
Take a moment to run over Galad's arc in your head.

Buddy boy just signed up for 5-8 years of dissecting the way chauvinist extremist organisations play on the superiority complexes of absolutist young men. In minutia, to a fanbase that ain't exactly likely to let him forget that that's the take-home message. 3/4
@WoTUp5 @DoorToSindhol One could make a pretty credible case that part of the point of shielding/stilling Moiraine is to give a reason to separate Lan off from her for a time in Season 2, for that matter. Would hardly be surprising for Moiraine to follow up her belated realisation that something...
@GregLynn9418 I don't think it is, given how specific that weave is described to be. But I do think the people who think book-Egwene wasn't good at healing are kinda missing that. It'd make sense to foreshadow a particular talent for repairing individual-scale damage of a similar type.
