@AnCaldazar You will need a digital ticket to access the live on-demand recording. I believe it’s about $28USD to purchase a NYCC Digital Content ticket.
@Unos_Eyepatch Rafe said that’s the book scene they were referencing for this Turak scene and it makes complete sense. I do wonder if Rand is getting Lews help with the idea for the fire arrow weave there as well.
@ofthebrownajah @RyanBerge @Unos_Eyepatch Definitely agree. A passing mention of The Karaethon Cycle from Rand in the library intro to Loial, and Verin listing some vague references is not enough for me either. I don’t know if the show will ever really give much of it though.
@RyanBerge @Unos_Eyepatch @ofthebrownajah Ep2 when Verin lets Moiraine know that she knows about the Dragon. “There are books in Tower that might prove useful. Prophesies that speak of Toman Head, battles in the sky, a sword of flame and the branded hand that weilds it. I will find them.”
@LXReads They worked w/Ryma to delve the collar, Ny went too hard, Basan died, Ryma collared, but since the a’dam stuff came to nothing now it’s just hope they pick it up in S3 or the Ryma stuff was just emotional setup for the Eggy plot & Ny block. It makes me sad if that’s all Ryma was
@IGN Can’t agree with much in this article. The Wheel of Time finale failed on a couple character moments for me, but overall was much better than this review gives it. This is the same person that gave the Ahsoka finale a 9, also much higher than I would. To each their own though.
@lordmatcauthon Moiraine using the OP to destroy the ships-to get around the Oath to do no harm unless in the defense of her life, another AS’ life, or her Warder’s, she must deeply believe that her personal wellbeing is directly tied to Rand
@AnCaldazar Pushing boundaries, going all out. These words can signify something great and I hope they do, though it seems people are more risk averse these days.
@amy_geek @malkiersking@nerdist@TheWheelOfTime Really enjoying reading these articles today. It’s reminiscent of the moments during book releases when you get the new one, binge it down quick, and the feeling when it’s complete and awaiting the next book (season) but needing to still live in the world you just read.
@ofthebrownajah @aieldream I agree in that they haven’t really shown the weight of being the Dragon. The show has just given him the Title like he gets by the end of TGH, but I don’t think book-Rand really feels that weight of duty until TDR when he gets Callandor and accepts it fully. I’m still hopeful.
@WheelofTimeLove@Elaynesnotsobad I’m wondering about the “I remember” line. I get that they are giving him a literal, hero when he thinks he’s not, moment, but does this allude to Redstone doorway memories fully, or just foreshadow some Finn scenes? Like will this motivate him to want all his memories?
@megsokay@AnCaldazar Well, that confirms Uno as Gaidal Cain. Glad we saw Birgitte, didn’t need her to pop off. Emphasizing Amaresu for book fans was a very nice touch.
@ofthebrownajah Maybe instead of twice and twice, it will only be twice. I guess they could still give him another heron sometime later…maybe sometime around when they bring Callandor to the show.
