@bostonradio Fair- but I used Spotrac and Over the Cap. Spotrac has them at 25th for in year cash as well as multi year cash spend. Over the cap has them at 8 for active cap spending. Again- I agree with some of your points. Just not the spending.
@bostonradio Look, I’m a fan. I want them to succeed. I don’t see how cheaping out on Gonzo makes them better. And he will 💯 get the contract he’s looking for on about 27 other teams if they decide he’s too pricy, or doesn’t fit the scheme anymore.
@ECBoston@bostonradio@Patriots@NFL@Steven_Ballmer@Microsoft Not to mention the whole annual profit sharing thing, or selling 8% of the team for $1 billion cash 😂. It’s not a stationary number. Valuation is not the income. Your not making the point you think you are
@bostonradio Because they have the track record of being cheap with cash spending and only making market value achievable through inflated incentives? And I don’t just mean target incentives, I mean incentives as a % to total for the contract.
@jimrome Call it what it is- collusion by the MLB owners. They inflate the problem (by not making similar deals) and make the dodgers the team fans rally against to drive a salary cap with fan support.
@jimrome How could anyone know how good their farm team is? Their team is a compilation of MLB all stars (not home grown), and the players they ship out aren’t exactly playing at MLB average levels. Weird take on the farm system piece.
@GuitarWorld One of the worst PR plays in modern corporate history. This will be a college case study for years. Maybe Martin should reach out about the dreadnaught body or Gibson with the Flying V (since Fender owns Jackson). It’s ridiculous for no reason.
