I'm not a doc. I just diagnose and treat what ail's our healthcare system. I'll call spade a spade and I'll call a quack a quack. Whatever it takes to heal...
Anyone know how to get any real response from @onepeloton when a bike that's only six month old fans. Their customer service is useless. Can't get anyone to respond without robotic answers. How do you get a bike repaired? Might as well cancel account.
@MartyMakary This week, a new law took effect in Colorado. I had the great pleasure of writing it. It leaves Colorado hospitals no choice but to reply with Federal Price Transparency Rules. Enforcement IS already happening at an accelerated pace. https://t.co/Y6tvN4kjau
Thought passengers would pass out. Returned to nearest location at destination. They offered a van with no rear aircon and 125 km on it. Not a chance my family would get in it. Avis said, "sorry, you pre-paid. Can't refund anything." Avis...try harder. #Avis#AvisBudgetGroup
#AvisPortugal gave me an 8 passenger van with no aircon. Said, "give it a few minutes," so we got on the highway. By the time we realized it wasn't going to work, we didn't want to turn around. Huge mistake. Got to 106+ in the rear (no rear windows--no airflow from front).
@davidfrum If you want the benefits of capitalism (which I'll take any day over the alternatives), then you accept that it doesn't always go your way. Capitalism is a lot like democracy: it's not perfect, but it's the best system available.
@AVIS needs to "Try Harder." Prepaid for 8 passenger van. A/C didn't work. 38C outside, 42 in the back. No rear windows. No airflow. People almost passed out on 3 hr drive. Refund denied. Returned after 1 day. Prepay requires trust. Never prepay @avis_portugal.
Also loving the way #USAA jumped on this. Monitoring to protect their reputation. But since there are only a handful of comments, still no help or resolution. I guess my limited twitter account isn't enough to rattle them. Maybe I'll take it to linked in where I have much more.
@SeanMcM17887358@USAA_help Had no idea. Loved USAA for so long. They lost my homeowners/auto when we upsized and they couldn't help, only to learn, "they could have" but didn't know how to let me know. Downhill for years. But this most recent issue is beyond stunning. No shareholders = no accountability.
@USAA_help Your team says they can't cancel my card or even my whole account. Not deleting my account number. Sti can't get a supervisor, manager, or executive. Has any even checked my account? Listened to recording? I'll post b the recording here. Then everyone can have my SSN, too.
@USAA_help Cannot cancel a lost/stolen card. Can't cancel USAA itself. Phone tree-crazy. Automated action wrong. Agent can't escalate problems. Really want me to go into details publicly? Member number 4048460. No risk. I can't even do anything with it.
@LeahHoustonMD How about patient perspective? Do I need a PA at urgent care "supervised" by a doc who's not there? What I am to think when told the gastroenterologist "doesn't see patients, he only does surgery. You'll see his PA." To we patients, denying independence just looks like greed.
@MartyMakary It was never in doubt. Circumstantial evidence IS evidence. Many medical diagnoses that are arrived at circumstantiallyโby eliminating all other possibilities. The notion that we need eye witnesses or a smoking gun has never been anything more than a smokescreen.
@1baddude2@MartyMakary@FoxNewsSunday That's sort of the point. We knew we could "flatten" the curve, but flattening just means spreading the same reality over more time. We were going to get to these numbers one way or another and Marty knew it. Wildcard is vaccines in remarkable time or Marty would actually be low.
Very important Op-Ed. We've become some polarized that we can't have rational dialogue anymore and simply agree to disagree. Dr. Prasad explains it well and lays out a simple way for us to all make a quick adjustment to how we think about things.
