Follow the Dalīl, Not the Muftī - 'Allāmah Muqbil bin Hādi, Allah have mercy on him

al-Allāmah Muqbil bin Hadī al-Wādi’ī, Allah have mercy on him, was asked regarding the befitting stance of a person on a fatwa from a single scholar; specifically in matters of disagreement. Should it suffice him or should he ask as many scholars as possible, and then follow a fatwa from their fatāwa? Is this acceptable and is it negligent to ask only a single scholar?

His answer:

“What I advise the brother with, if he is a student of knowledge, is that he should research in the books, and should diligently attempt to find the truth himself from the books of the people of knowledge, and the affair is easy, Allah willing. And if this is not easy, then what matters is the ease of the heart. So if the heart is assured by asking the first scholar [whose answers come] with proof [then this is acceptable].

You must ask for proof, because Allah says, ‘Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other than Him any awliyā. Little do you remember.’ [Surat al-A’rāf: 3]. If he brings proof from the book of Allah and from the sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, sallallāhu ‘alaihi wa sallam, and you have understood the proof, then suffice yourself with this, or then you can ask another. And be sure that the proof is not abrogated, or that it is not a proof for what it is being used for, as it may be that the muftī takes to a madh-hab, and is giving a fatwa which agrees with his madh-hab.”

How To Increase Your Rizq

• Is true richness found only in wealth?
• Always remember that Allāh is Ar-Razzāq ,The Provider.
• How can one feel poor when Allāh is Ar-Razzāq?
• Reflect on the meaning of this beautiful name.
• One must take the necessary means to attain their rizq.
• There is great blessing in the early morning.
• Allāh is the best of providers.
• There are many blessings we overlook and forget the true value of, such as health.
• Giving charity is a means for your rizq to increase.
• Showing gratitude to Allāh for His blessings increases your rizq.
• Never fear poverty.
• Reflect on the meaning of Allāh’s name Al-Fattāh.
• Knowing the truth is from rizq.
• The believer’s affairs are all good for him.
• Allāh protects His servants by withholding certain things, knowing they will be harmful for them.
• Looking at those who have less than you in worldly matters, will make you more grateful and content
• A du‘ā for rizq.
• Seeking forgiveness is a means for your rizq to increase.
• Guidance is from rizq.
• What is the meaning of barakah?
• Always ask Allāh to bless what He has bestowed upon you.
• What is beneficial knowledge?
• Three things that bring happiness to a man.
• How many people possess great wealth, yet it lacks blessing.
• How many people have children who are not beneficial to them. So ask Allāh to bless your children.
• The best rizq one will ever receive is Paradise.

Ash-Shaykh Badī'ud-dīn Ar-Rāshidī, Allah have mercy on him, authored Badī'ut-Tafāsīr, a tafsīr in the Sindhi language. He mentions some of the reasons for this:

"Out region of Sindh (Pakistan), the majority of it is void of knowledge and knowing Allah the Most High. It is for this reason that blind allegiance to madh-habs and following (sufi) orders has dominated the area."

(Muqaddimatu-Tafsīril-Qurān-al-Karīm, P.59)

Benefit: If we want to improve ourselves and our standing in front of Allah in the hereafter, then we have to correct our sajdah in front of Him in this life. This can only be accomplished with knowledge.
