I think possibly the best thing about Elon Musk becoming a trillionaire is how angry it makes a bunch of losers who've never built a thing in their lives.
If the federal government took 100% of Elon’s wealth, it would only fund the government for 52 days.
Then it’s gone, and there’s nothing left to take.
The problem isn’t trillionaires.
Fun fact. As @elonmusk is rounded on by the UK’s Loony Left, a little research tells me that he has created more jobs in his career to date than Rachel Reeves and Keir Starmer have destroyed since being elected to government.
Elon is responsible for around 400,000 new jobs via Tesla, Space X etc
Labour have overseen the loss of 340,000 UK jobs.
Now who’s the bad guy?
This week the most advanced AI model on the planet got switched off by a foreign government. British researchers were studying it. British companies were testing it. British hospitals were piloting it. Not any more.
This isn't an AI story. It's the story of every industry we used to lead.
Britain has some of the best AI talent in the world. DeepMind was built here. Our AI Safety Institute writes the rules other countries follow. We have the researchers, the universities, the standards.
What we don't have is the power stations to run the data centres, the planning system to build them, or the industrial base to make the chips. So the work happens here and the value lands somewhere else. We invent. Others build. Others decide. Then we read about it on Saturday morning.
Same story as the kit our soldiers don't have. Same story as the factories we used to.
I spent nine months in government making this argument inside the room. I'll make it louder from outside.
Harrow council hiring 7th century cavemen to hand out fines, which they recieve commission from.
Those arguing their case not to be fined are being threatened by the inbreds.
Elon Musk should pay no tax. In fact, poor people should be taxed and their money given to him.
He's proved himself to allocate capital way more effectively than any government could. He will generate untold value with the money.
Poor people are terrible at allocating capital. I mean do you want robots and holidays on Mars or do you want a load of used scratch cards?
Oh yes, I remember that Bond film where the villain decarbonized the auto industry, brought fast internet to everyone on the planet, and helped paralyzed people interact with the world again.
Not one liberal politician or journalist argued that the George Floyd "I can't breathe" clip shouldn't have been shared. They only want to stop you seeing the Belfast clip because it's massively, massively inconvenient to them - 'sensitivity for victims' has zilch to do with it.
Their lives were worth more than a few cars. Or a few wheelie bins. Or a few buses.
When you start to think the protests in Ireland are going too far, remember the fact that these 3 girls were stabbed over 200 times between them.
200 times.
Three men have been jailed for their parts in violence at a protest over the murder of Henry Nowak.
Darren Medhurst, 36, has received a sentence of three years and three months, while Callum Darch, 27, and Harley Haynes, 23, have each been imprisoned for two years and six months
Meanwhile, Vickrum Digwa’s brother, Gurpreet Digwa, lied to police that Henry Nowak hadn’t been stabbed and had racially abused his brother, thereby perverting the course of justice.
He's is currently on bail whereas the protesters are jailed...
Two-tier Britain in action!
