On 01.12.1956 J.Kittu scored a spectacular goal vs Australia at the Melbourne Olympics.He ran 40 yards solo and crashed the ball home past a bewildered Aussie custodian.This was India;s 4th goal who won 4-2 to qualify for the Semi Final.

54 years ago in December,1966 India's ace tennis player Ramanathan Krishnan defeated Thomas Koch of Brazil from jaws of defeat in the deciding singles of the Davis Cup Inter Zone Final at South Club.1-5 down and 2 sets to 1 down in the 4th set Krishnan outplayed Koch to win 3-2.
