@Protestia In this instance, given the timeline of this event and in context of his history, I can declare that if you believe this story then I have a fine bridge to sell you.
It's magnificent and historical of value.
@MikeWingerii This reminds me of @PastorMark back in the day, expressing with no small amount of glee, how there are some whom you need to throw "under the bus" as they need to get out of the way. That followed him firing a few of his elders days prior.
Sadly, I have zero creativity. Chatgpt gave some high-T ones:
โIf your โstandardsโ sound like a gym slogan, consult your pastor.โ
โBroBeam 3000 โ turn down the cringe, turn up the discernment.โ
โBroBeam 3000 โ when your theology needs less testosterone talk.โ
โBroBeam 3000 โ Because vibes arenโt virtues!โ
โFrom beta to better โ one beam at a time!โ
โIf your T is droppinโ, your standards are floppinโ!โ
โBroBeam 3000 โ Certified manly (allegedly).โ
@KozarSteveMUC Today I spent time thinking about the so-called "discernment bloggers" - people like you. People in the body of the church who correctly call out the wolves. Ad hominems like "pharasaical cessationists" are levied against you. Scripture commands us all to have good discernment.
@MikeWingerii I saw it. This video, including the other related ones, make me angry. The reasons for cover-up culture are certainly important to unpack.
There is no hurt like church hurt.
Scripture gives us clear instruction as to how to care for the flock.
Bethel et al do not care.
