The rancor around this is so overblown, and the harm it is causing to an already vulnerable population is beyond cruel. The right is manipulating people into toxic and hateful behaviors against fellow humans

@emzanotti @steve_uhlir Anyway, the odds are closer to 1/50,000 that you have multiple trans kids. That makes at least 6,680+ families in the USA. Suppose we find one day there is some genetic precondition to this, it makes sense for there to be more amongst certain relatives.

The odds of identical twins are 0.4% - my mom had two sets without fertility drugs (which don't help with identical).

My mom also has a trans daughter. And one set of twins are gay (me).

Beating the odds I suppose.

Problem w/ twitter is people can just post blatant misinfo without repercussion. Odds are 0.5-1% you're trans. Higher odds than identical twins (0.4%), of which my mom had two sets + a trans daughter + one set of twins are gay (me!).
