You can admire both Rajinikanth and Vijay as stars. But becoming a fan of both at the same emotional level is difficult, because they represent two completely different journeys, philosophies, and cultural emotions.

Rajinikanth’s story is aspirational in the purest sense.

A man who started as a bus conductor, struggled through life, carried the weight of survival, discovered theatre, and transformed himself into a phenomenon through charisma, individuality, hard work, timing, spirituality, and sheer screen presence. Every mannerism, every style, every pause felt earned through years of struggle and reinvention. His superstardom feels organic, almost mythical.

Vijay’s journey is entirely different.
He entered cinema with the backing of an industry family. His father was already a director who carefully positioned and shaped his career from the beginning. Vijay evolved over time, improved tremendously, built a massive fan base, and eventually became a box-office force through strategic image-building, script selection, fan management, and consistency.

Neither journey is “wrong.” But they evoke different emotions.
