It is a small hollow in a stone wall located inside the Franciscan Chapel of Simon of Cyrene. Tradition holds that this depression was originally formed when Jesus stumbled while carrying the cross and rested his hand on the wall for support, leaving a bloody imprint that was later preserved as a relic. 

Over the centuries, the stone has been repeatedly touched by pilgrims, causing the surface to wear down and the hollow to deepen into a smooth, collective palm-print.
