I had simply asked the Irrigation Minister if the tail ends of canals Malookpur, Panjawa & Lambi were getting sufficient water & last three months gauge reading at the tail end. Minister said water has increased by 24% but wouldn't share the data with me. When I showed him the data collected by farmers, he didn't have an answer. If he did, perhaps CM's claims of water reaching the tail end for the first time in seventy years would have been demolished. @BhagwantMann @Team_SJ_

Arvind ji, any thoughts on democracy in Punjab? So, we will see resignations in Punjab too? And why don't you shine some light on the 'democratic' way the Mayors & Presidents of Corporation's were chosen. Oh, I forgot, police beating up sanitation, G Ram G & PSPCL workers too.

Was in Jalalabad for the filing of nominations of the upcoming Municipal elections on 5th June. @BJP4Punjab will be fighting elections on all 17 seats for the first time. In 2013, Senior Badal sab, who was the CM at the time, asked @sunilkjakhar ji, who was LoP, to accompany him to Delhi to meet Manmohan Singh ji, who was PM, to ask for a special grant for water logging in our districts. They went with a request for 3000 crores and came back with 1200 crores, though money was not utilized to the full capacity. Today, we farmers from Abohar & Balluana, requested Sunil ji to meet PM @narendramodi ji & @ChouhanShivraj ji in this regard, because if this problem of water logging is not resolved, our area, which is the most diversified in agriculture in Punjab, will be destroyed for our generations to come. @BhagwantMann ji, all should go together.

State of affairs...just a few days ago @msisodia ji had said that by hook or crook, we will conquer. Today the administration especially police, which has not been able to rein in gangsters, control extortion & petty crime, very efficiently, rounded up @BJP4Punjab workers who were organizing camps in villages for outreach of govt of India policies for farmers, labor, artisans, ladies etc. Wonder why the panic? Is it because of the response amongst the people? But, democracy won, the workers won & we were able to get everyone released. @sunilkjakhar @BhagwantMann @AroraAmanSunam @AshwaniSBJP

Attended the seminar organized by @Krishak_Samaj on how the Indo US trade deal (if it happens), will impact agriculture in India. On a side note, listening to domain experts, I realize how little I know, the complexities, the power plays & opportunities of trade deals & what we should really be discussing in our Vidhan Sabha's. The ground realities. Another overdose related death in Abohar today. Syringe still in his hand, only 25 years old. And the chances are, under pressure, cause of death in the official report will be ambiguous. More than the potential political dividends, agree with @sunilkjakhar ji. It was for very this reason, to preserve our brotherhood & communal harmony during the turbulent 90's that Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji & Sr Badal sab stitched this alliance. Also, as rightly pointed out, BJP should also rebuild it's foundations in PB following the sikh tenets of pride, service & integrity. I also feel that there is a genuine need to address the historical baggage that we carry, the perceived or otherwise wrongs committed & bring about some closure. As Sunil ji says, foremost, all we punjabi's want is respect & recognition. Also, SAD should acknowledge the new ground realities, as BJP got a vote share of 19% during the Lok Sabha elections, as after all, respect is a two way street. @officeofssbadal @anshumalini3 @thetribunechd @Team_SJ_
