Exactly a year ago, the Druze community in Syria endured one of the darkest chapters in its modern history.

The atrocities committed by extremist monstrous forces of the Syrian Islamist regime, encouraged, backed and led by Al-Jolani, were not only acts of unimaginable brutality, they were yet another attempt to ethnically cleansing a peaceful small nation in Syria.

Throughout history, the Druze have survived persecution and repeated attempts of extermination, mainly by extremist Islamist forces, in different forms and different eras. Yet every attack has only strengthened our identity, our faith, and our determination. They will never break the spirit of a free people founded on dignity, justice, and unwavering belief.

When we remember, we honor the victims, stand with the survivors, and remember who stood with our brothers and sisters in the Bashan mountain. The State of Israel was the only country and nation that acted to protect our people in Syria, while too many others chose either to support the perpetrators or remain silent and enjoy watching the massacres against the Druze.

We remember. We mourn. We endure.
And we will never forgive 💔
