Beautiful morning @uniofeastanglia
3 vocal Green Woodpeckers, a bobbing Grey Wagtail, a raucous Red Kite and a singing Cetti's Warbler were the stars of the show.
UEA @uniofeastanglia ! What a brilliant place, for so many reasons. So happy to see a Jack Snipe near the river today. Hadn't seen one for a few years. Alas, I didn't have my camera. Many thanks to Alastair Rae for permission to use his wonderful photo (not the same bird).
It's been a real privilege to spend time watching the Trimingham Bee-Eaters embark upon their first breeding attempt in Norfolk, but also a real pleasure to share them with so many delighted visitors this past week.
If you join the "flock" to watch the Bee-eaters at Trimingham today, take plenty of suncream and water (32C forecast @ Cromer).

"Upon this leafy bush.
With thorns and roses in it,
Flutters a thing of light,
A twittering Linnet.
And all the throbbing world,
Of dew and sun and air,
By this small parcel of life
Is made more fair... ."

Bins or camera? Grabbed the latter, but still lucky to snap a low-flying zoom-by Hobby this afternoon (3.46pm), heading towards @trinityhouse_uk#CromerLighthouse .
