A few years ago, during a comparison, Carragher made a distinction saying “David Silva runs games and Mesut Özil turns games." The same can be said about the Bellingham, Pedri comparisons now; The style/method(s) of influence of both of them are completely different.

PnP/dynamic players with technical elegance i.e. your Fede Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham etc type players is the new wave;Will take over the market in the next 2-5 years. Can play in multiple roles, multiple environments/setups. That is the new midfield prototype.

Unless they specialize in a role, pure technicians (players' whose biggest asset is their technical ability i.e. your David Silva, Isco type players) will soon be the victim of the modern game. They'll be phased out much like how the #10s were.

One of the core domino effect problems at Real Madrid is super super simple. Every single management problem stems from this. The board treats this entire squad like it's a squad full of superstars.
