Here's another thing I've been working on - a Python simulation of a phased array antenna at different beam angles (θ).
Currently working on an interactive HTML5 version of this but who knows how long that will take/whether it will ever be finished
@GregNotSure@macjshiggins an ASIC 5G modem isn't comparable with an SDR chip. I wouldn't call anything that can't give me an IQ stream that I can process in software an SDR, and this 5G modem can't. nevermind the vastly different qtys these are produced in vs the Lime chips used in the mentioned product
@GregNotSure@macjshiggins interesting, but devices like this won't have nearly enough low-level access to turn them into SDRs. I looked into the Linux driver for this one out of curiosity (the Mediatek T700 specifically), and it's not really useful past actually doing LTE/5G/GNSS.
@Ascii211@2ftg1 yeah, they are sick. the main issue is the GbE interface, but with an overclock and some other changes, you can almost saturate it and get almost 30 MSPS out of it in real time (https://t.co/Jrf4TwlHvP)
