@EIshmael_ Thank you so much Elham. I commend you for the excellent work, shedding light on this issue. We have leaders whose only interest is to make money by selling out the country and it's people. May Allah protect us all.
@AAbdishakur Ma doonayo inaan ku hadlo afqalaad. Laakiin waxaa ii muuqata umadda Soomaliyeed ee walaalaha ahayd siday u Kala dhimatay. Bal ma waxaad isku haysataan Ethiopia iyo Turkey sida ay ka yeeli doonaan baddaneena inagoo dhan inaka dhaxaysa. Yaa iska kaaya xiga? Hantida yaa leh? Yaab!
@alihwarsame World leaders are servants of their country men unlike Somalia where people come to power to pursue financial ambitions and personal prestige. They don't care about the welfare of the people and don't even preserve some of the resources for their own benefit in the long run.
@Aynte It is not sufficient to only hope some countries to come to our aid. We should prepare our nation politically and militarily to fight such aggression.
@faisalroble19 Because they move to where their businesses will thrive and their living standards improve. Because their country is under-developed and justice system is weak. Nowadays, they are not protective as the country is flooded by Eithiopians (Somaliland & Puntland). Kenyans visit too.
@MohamedOsmanSom@jumuiya@kulanpost The only benefit you mentioned is the entrepreneual skills of Somalis to do business in other members. Are you implying that we should all leave Somalia to do small business in other countries. Your focus as an advisor should have been reviving our economy instead
@MohamedOsmanSom@jumuiya@kulanpost Last, have you ever thought about the onsequencies for the erosion of political, religious and cultural freedom; the sharing of our natural resources by the 300M of the community due to free movement of people to work study and live.
@MohamedOsmanSom@jumuiya@kulanpost We cannot also compete with their manufacturing industries as we don't have any so we will only be selling their products. Also, any hope to develop our manufacturing sector will fade away. Thirdly, any investment to extract our natural resources cannot be negotiated without them
@MohamedOsmanSom@jumuiya@kulanpost Dr. Thanks for sharing your interview. But I believe Somali stands to lose in this Federation. From economic perspective, Somali's productive sector (agriculture, livestock and Fisheries), cannot compete with the region as it is not well developed and resourced.
@EGaraad_ If Somalia joins EAC, it will not be able to freely engage with partners in economics and politics. I think it cease to part of Arab League and other important cooperations. Let us not sell our sovereignty.
@EGaraad_ Think about Brexit and the reasons behind it. Britain which is more politically and economical established could not withstand with lack of control of its borders. What will happen to Somalia which has the weakest governance and economic system. This country will taken over
@Abdullahi_67 @EGaraad_ I think, if we don't think twice about this cooperation, we will lose our sovereignty, economic and political freedom. There will exudus of immigrants to our land which we cannot control. Our industries/production will die as we will be dominated by stronger/wealthier companies.
@daudedosman I totally agree with you. Taking photos with foreign ambassadors is not an achievement for the country. Self-reliance and home-grown solutions lead to progress. We should change the culture of waiting for outsiders to solve our problems
@smukhtar_ It speaks volumes of the plight of young people. Their future has been robbed. Somalis are not honest to themselves. We have been given one of the richest countries in the world but we have been living in destitution for 30 years due to our idiocy.
@Aynte How can we create jobs when citizens don't trust the governace system of the country; when everyone is taking their capital (financial and human) outside of the country; when the natural resources are plundered and used for personal gains. Hope is dying in Somalia. βοΈ needed
