@Darkness476@DCCyclone Kat Abu wasn't from the district and didn't have grassroots support, Hong is very in touch with her state's important issues and has the policies yo solve and she does have grassroots support, it's a totally different case.
#WisconsinGovernor
NYT: Jeff Hanneman, a Republican who voted for President Trump, decided to cast his vote in the governor’s race for Francesca Hong in part because she wants to pause data center construction.
@liberalboomer2@PollTracker2024 Better than having half of my posts be about Haley Stevens, but thanks for sharing this gem to a wider audience, appreciate it.
@ggreenwald AOC was one of the first people to call it a genocide, this is silly you can criticise her decision to endorse Jeffries for speaker (which Zohran and Ro Khanna also did) without doing this conspiratorial "she's not sincere" thing.
Every minute of CNN now is like one ongoing audition for Larry Ellison, his son and Bari Weiss, who are about to own and run it. They have friendly competitions with one another over who can be more pro-Israel.
With Jake Tapper, Dana Bash, Van Jones and Scott Jennings there, it's not easy to distinguish yourself as a slavish devotee of Israel.
"Woke 2.0 is coming. It's starting already.
Rather than foregrounding identity politics, it will push:
1) Affordability (Marxist materialism);
2) Anti-corruption (ironic but an excuse to go after Trump);
3) Anti-Israel (pro-Palestine).
It will be warm to political violence."
@Ryan2WSB@LIYAHCONDA@cmkshama@hasanthehun I mean I hope she wins but it was very stupid of her to go after the DSA totally unwarranted when they helped her before and she knew she'd need their help again, but I agree hasan should support her.
Extremely funny that Ansari, until then a solid progressive, leaned hard into support for Israel to get a billion dollars in DMFI/AIPAC spending and VERY narrowly (39 votes!) beat Raquel Teran, only to immediately pivot back into being normal afterwards
