@homesteadpilot I recently traded my rusty and leaky 250k 4runner for a newer Honda. I offered it to my sister for $3k and she said "hold it until October and I might have the money". I traded it in and she raged about how I didn't just give it to her.
@CostaKapo Ras Laffan is hardly the only supplier for Group III+ base stock. There's lots of other plants and refineries to supply Group III+, Group 4, and PAO for 0W8 and 0W16. If anything nobody wants to supply Walmart at current prices.
@DTNutt@VoxAeternus@shoe0nhead Pubic housing expansion and universal healthcare (and mental healthcare by extension) would be like putting a drip pan under your car's oil leak. You're not fixing the leak, you're just making it somebody else's problem.
@DTNutt@shoe0nhead Giving homeless people a free home just makes them homeless but indoors. They still do the same things that made everybody that would've helped them stop helping them.
@DreMikic@STaranto92 Bump drafting. The cars are designed for this. The air resistance of the leader keeps him from going faster. The follower can go faster because he's in the draft. If he bumps him then they both go faster.
@Mike_M_Klotz The 2025 and 2026 1500 models do in fact use a GF50 PA6 composite upper control arm. It does have some sheet steel reinforcement but by volume it is mostly plastic.
@CoreyLewis86 The only problem is TikTok kids looking back at the crx, nsx, and prelude through rose colored glasses rather than understanding Honda's original goal with each of those cars. These are all true to their origins.
@PhilaBOR@Mrgunsngear Tolerances, section thicknesses, and notch sensitivity aside, the trouble is more or less layer adhesion and keeping it straight. Even if you use PEI or PEEK you still have to worry about melting the barrel threads off.
