Did you know…the #RebeccaNurse family home originally only consisted of two rooms? Since then the house has undergone 5 additions. In 1909 it was restored in an attempt to bring it closer to its #17thcentury appearance. What changes do you see?

#otd in 1692, 5 people were set to be executed: Rev. George Burroughs, Martha Carrier, John Willard, George Jacobs Sr., and John Proctor. George Jacob's body was removed by family and later discovered in the mid 1900’s. In 1992 he was reinterred in the Nurse family burial ground.

@restingwitches We know the current lilacs were planted in the 1920’s shortly after property became a museum. Lilacs started becoming popular in New England in the late 18th century, but we have no records showing if they were indeed here that early.
