@medicalmodelbri@pa_StephenNash@Molly2323232323@gmcuk I am not sure what his personal circumstances are around employment. I am aware many PAs are out of work therefore both financial and references are difficult
@Mary_Tom11@ShaunLintern@lengreview Yes the leng review is meant to feed into the new NHS 10 year plan. Prof Leng herself admitted she doesn’t know the outcome of the review yet as it isn’t written
@iDrSunny@mattster@medicalmodelbri I thought it was 5-6k, unfortunately no one knows how many have left the profession, been made redundant. It’s an unknown variable.
@DrTweXet @medicalmodelbri So prescribing responsibility is a multi faceted process. So they need to be a regulated profession. They also need a buisness case to put forward and then the necessary training so no definitely not a GMC then perscribe job. Not that simple
@medicalmodelbri They are from universities and are self described as “ comprised of member Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) that deliver Physician Associate (PA) education within the UK”
@Burnt2020@parthaskar@gmcuk How do you plan to calculate how many PAs “don’t meet GMC” when you aren’t the GMC and don’t know how many supposedly don’t meet the criteria. How will you determine who can work?
