@ZachHumphries@WeAreCavsNation@BleacherReport I mean, if the Spurs got Mitchell, they would immediately deal Fox to fortify the team. Castle and Mitchell would be a crazy backcourt to pair with Wemby. But the Cavs wouldn't do this unless Mitchell asked out, and they would want at least a few draft picks.
@ThawedMagazine@DetroitPistons He's probably tired. He's played really big minutes in a very physical series and has had a lot of responsibility. Also, this is the farthest He's ever gone in the postseason, it's a marathon and it's not uncommon to see guys new to it wear down.
@taylortolliver I honestly couldn't believe Kenny fell for that trick. The Pistons only partially cleared their bench and left in two rotation players to see if they could sneak them back into the game. It's an old trick and one you can't fall for in that scenario.
@Three_Cone More to the point, do you know how historically awful you have to be as a rim protector for your teammates to be worried about Gobert driving on you?
@jacob_soli@SharpFootball Not sure if serious, but yes. The more reliably accurate a quarterback is further down field, the more the offense can spread the defense out by providing credible threats further down field. They can also gain more yards on explosive plays more frequently.
@wwwocls12 Except he literally did that multiple times just last season.
Harden has advantages, he is better, but we don't need to denigrate Garland with blatant nonsense to make that point. Harden is undeniably better at drawing in & manipulating the defense and his size is a real plus
@RyanX860@cavs@jaylontyson Nobody knew the hip injury would be so serious. It was assumed, by literally everyone, that he would be at least his All Star self. You can look up articles from the time if you don't believe me. The pick was gravy, and expected to be traded & would have been if IT recovered
@RyanX860@cavs@jaylontyson See I don't like criticizing teams for choices that would have made no rational sense with info available at the time. Shai was more a project regarded as a risk ar 11, Sexton was a more well regarded prospect. And Brunson? Man, nobody on God's green earth was taking him 8.
@RyanX860@cavs@jaylontyson As for Sexton, I think he's starter caliber more, just not a star. Thing is, there are a LOT of star guards in the league so most teams, he would come off the bench. But his production when healthy has been very worthy of a lottery pick.
@RyanX860@cavs@jaylontyson The prize of the Kyrie trade was a 28 yr old, peak of his powers PG coming off an MVP candidate season. Literally nobody saw this pick as the prize at the time. IT falling apart caught everyone off guard, the plan was almost certainly to trade the pick at the deadline, not use it
@RyanX860@cavs@jaylontyson I wouldn't call Sexton a miss, he played quite well while in Cleveland and was part of the trade that got Mitchell. In terms of high draft picks, Okoro is the only genuine miss I can think of in his tenure.
