When Uhuru left power, NSSF was at flat rate of KSh 200. For Ruto, it's 6% on the employer side and 6% on the employee side.
When Uhuru was leaving power, the dollar was KSh 118. Ruto took it to 160 and brought it down to 129.
When Uhuru was leaving power, petrol was going for KSh 158 with subsidy. Ruto took it to 217, brought it down to 178, and now it’s at 198 with subsidy.
When Uhuru was leaving power, the maximum NHIF contribution was KSh 1,700. For Ruto, it's 2.75% of your salary.
During Uhuru’s time, KSh 100 would give you about 6 KPLC units of tokens, but under Ruto you now get about 3 units for the same amount.
During Uhuru’s time, VAT across key sectors was 8%, but under Ruto it has gone up to 16%.
For Uhuru, affordable housing meant no deductions on your payslip, but under Ruto, you now have an additional mandatory deduction.
Despite all this, borrowing hasn’t stopped. In fact, it has picked up.
So, how has Ruto reduced the cost of living ?🤔
DECISIONS amongst them to 'gift' sh12/litre to PRIVATE companies causing the PUNITIVE fuel costs while cartels rake SUPER profits must be reversed ASAP and all CORRUPT public officials involved/benefiting PROSECUTED.Price controls must be REMOVED for COMPETITION to lower prices.
Mwananchi ajitolee, aamke 5am, akae kwa jam mpaka afike job 7:30am. Then apige 8-5 yake. Alipe 30% tax. Alafu bado aswim akienda home while fighting for his life.
Aren't we angry enough Kenyans?
Let me make it crystal clear because I don’t think this entitled family received the Memo: Kenyans are sick and tired of you, of your greed, opportunism, hypocrisy and connivance.
We don’t care about your delusions of grandeur. We don’t care about your duplicitous lives. We don’t care about your evil designs.
Kenyans saw the late Raila Amolo Odinga, introducing Oketch Salah in Migori, Gem Ramula and Kisumu as his “dear friend” and a “great investor who would mine gold” in Luoland.
We saw Oketch Sallah in helicopters, vehicles and public rallies with Raila Amolo Odinga. We saw Oketch Sallah dancing with Ida, Ida’s children and Ida’s grandchildren.
Kenyans saw Oketch Sallah distributing money to your family members and members of the public in Raila Amolo Odinga’s and Ida’s presence.
How come Oketch Sallah was with the ailing Raila in Dubai, India and South Africa while Ida was gallivanting all over Kenya with strange men?
And recently, we have seen Oketch Sallah in the company of Oburu Oginga and Jaoko Oburu at public rallies, weddings and ODM meetings.
Kenyans know your dubious habit of taking money from people before denouncing them. You did it to the Armenian drug dealers, Artur Margaryan and Artur Sargasian. You did it to the horrible Kemlesh Pattni. You have done it throughout your lives.
We know what you are fighting for is the continued flow of public money to you through Political Parties Fund, bribes from aspirants seeking ODM certificates and crumbs from @StateHouseKenya.
Keep your rotten ways from our lives. We don’t care about your family’s duplicitous lives and Oketch Sallah!
The honeymoon is over because the political contract has collapsed. What MPs are witnessing is not noise, it is withdrawal of consent. The masses are no longer amused, no longer persuaded by slogans, handshakes, or weekend donations.
For two years, Parliament has: endorsed punitive taxes, legitimized reckless borrowing, looked away as healthcare and education collapsed, reduced representation to loyalty to the Executive.
Voters are now reorganizing their politics around material conditions cost of living, debt, jobs, dignity. When that happens, incumbents don’t get second chances; they get audited.
The eviction notice won’t be emotional. It will be electoral.
Drain the swamp is no longer a chant it is a program: dismantle elite capture, break the Executive–Parliament cartel, and restore Parliament as a site of resistance, not applause.
Meanwhile, yesterday, after casting my ballot, the military deployed all around my home in order to place me under house arrest. These criminals even jumped over the fence and entered our compound. My house is still besieged - no one allowed to come in or go out. This ain't strength. They do this out of fear for the people they have offended by committing so many atrocities against them. They do this because they are afraid of the people's reaction after stealing their vote..
