There is a serious gap in business knowledge for creative people.
Most of creatives don’t know how to operate or who to sell their services to.
It should be taught in art school.
The fashion industry is one of the most exploitive industry at entry level.
So many great young talent accept to work for free because otherwise someone else will take the opportunity.
Which in the end make the brands richer. This is purely exploitative.
In my twenties I discovered running, I loved it sometimes ran everyday until I finished 2 marathons and a half Ironman.
In my thirties I am discovering Muay Thai, and I love it even more, everything hurts expect my mind anymore.
Third, cutting sugar, oh boy this one is incredible.
Fourth, focus on doing things that matters, sometimes I love building for the sake of it, so I’ll just do it. No more dumb pressure about performing.
As annoying as it sounds, money comes from feeding the hungry not glittering the sausage.
So before polishing that dog, better finding that hungry crowd.
A hard lesson learnt spending to much time focusing on silently creating and never sharing it.
We love the craft, the glitter and the commitment to make it cool, pretty and meaningful.
All of this is good. But most of it happens, alone, on our little artistic island in our little artistic workshop, where ideas flow but where no one can know…
