WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: As the @FIFAWorldCup prepares to kick off, the Sheriff’s Office is expanding wellness support for all staff, including access to a dedicated Mental Health Performance Specialist.
Over the past year, our Wellness Unit has grown to offer onsite wellbeing checks, digital tools, healthier meal options, sleep rooms, chaplain services, and more.
A major boost comes from our partnership with @o2xhp, which has placed Mental Health Performance Specialist Fernando Lopez inside the agency full time. Lopez leads workshops, team‑building, and one‑on‑one support to help staff reduce stress and build healthy habits.
“My goal is to support them in living a life they are excited about,” Lopez said.
Lopez brings experience from his work with @USArmy soldiers and has launched new training on burnout, secondary trauma, and emotional regulation. He’s also supporting custody operations by identifying daily stressors to better tailor resources.
Beginning in August, custody staff will have access to a new three‑hour course focused on early stress recognition and practical reset techniques.
As we prepare for increased World Cup demands, the Wellness Unit is expanding access to sports medicine and chiropractic care, therapists, massage chairs, and stress‑management training.
Our commitment continues under the motto: Be Fit. Be Well. Be More.

Five years ago, we proudly gifted Navy Corpsman 2nd Class Isaac Francois and his family a mortgage-free home, only for it to be devastated by fire. In a beautiful act of compassion, our partner @Lowes stepped in to help restore the house into a true haven.
The #Cowboys annual skill players retreat seemed to re-emphasize the mantra for this season—compete every day.
“…The man who will find a way to complete each and every task to the best of his ability. The man who’ll adapt can overcome any and all obstacles.”

Per the tagged photos so far, KaVontae Turpin, Jake Ferguson, and George Pickens were there.
I’m sure more names will pop up. There’s a history of almost the entire offensive skill group going.
