اطّلعت سيدة بريطانية على تعاليم الدين الإسلامي بتمعّن، وتعمّقت في دراسة القرآن الكريم والأحاديث النبوية، وبعد بحثٍ وتأملٍ خلصت -بحسب ما ذكرت- إلى أن الإسلام منح المرأة حقوقًا راسخة قبل أكثر من أربعة عشر قرنًا، في وقتٍ كانت فيه المرأة في كثير من المجتمعات تُحرم من أبسط حقوقها.
