Our Bright Future was an ambitious and innovative partnership which brought together the youth and environmental sectors. It ran between 2016 and 2022.

We are proud of #OurBrightFuture! In 2016, youth mental wellbeing was at record lows in the UK #OurBrightFuture has helped empower young people to lead environmental change β boosting their confidence at the same time π
The Our Bright Future programme empowered young people to become skilled and engaged citizens. After taking part 95% of participants said they felt their confidence had improved during the programme π
Thanks to the #OurBrightFuture programme, participants gained:
π Improved mental health and wellbeing
πͺ Increased self-esteem and self-confidence
π§ New skills and knowledge
π³ Increased employability and enhanced or influenced career aspirations
#OurBrightFuture has shown that engaging young people in the environment has created benefits for their future. Participants were consistently found to be more confident, skilled and able to find work through their involvement π
Through the #OurBrightFuture@impact_arts Creative Pathways project 417 young people progressed into employment, volunteering, apprenticeship, training, learning or education!

Did you know the #OurBrightFuture@impact_arts Creative Pathways project engaged 622 young people on 12 week courses. As a result of the programme, Impact Arts has established a youth steering group and appointed a young trustee π

The fantastic #OurBrightFuture UpRising Environmental Leadership Programme consisted of an introductory leadership weekend and knowledge sessions with high-level professionals to help young people gain skills π

Our Bright Future features a diverse range of 31 environmental and sustainable work-based placements β giving young people a fantastic introduction to working in nature. π²
We asked, then listened. Our Bright Future was created with the ideas and thoughts of 700 young people, resulting in a programme that empowers them to get out into nature, through a variety of work placements. π
Thanks to the #OurBrightFuture programme empowering those involved to lead future environmental change 203 fantastic enterprises were started by young people. π
Back in 2016, UK young peopleβs mental health was at an all-time low. We set out to change this with Our Bright Future, a programme helping those aged 11-24 get out into nature and boost their employability. β¨
