Good news - I got my single (chalk) home to start.

My weakest leg is leg 5 (R8). I will probably come back with a saver p4.

Rest now is up to higher spirits & racing gods.

And Leg I missed was Leg I was DEEPEST (5). Winner was usable but can't play everyone on budgeted ticket.

I had good opinions - single R4, $32 winner in R8, toss fave in R8.

But this is why verticals are hard to hit.

You have to be perfect!

I am done. I go 5 deep in Leg 3 (Race 4) and I have the one semi logical who I did not like beat me. Ronney Brown stings a bit. But horse has never won at 4.5F so I passed.

Oh well. On to the next!

If this horse @RaceCharlesTown wins, I simply lose unless I do a saver ticket. Double Negative horse who will take money because of connections.

You need to make a stand somewhere when you are playing verticals. This is the hill I am willing to stand on & die - right or wrong!

@DAVIDLSINGER @RaceCharlesTown It started with a bad ML IMO. Horse should have never been 3/5 on ML to start. Clearly 4 was going to improve. 6 likes the distance. 13 were only two with speed on paper in a paceless race. Recipe for disaster for 5.

@turfracingmast1 WOW! Capping P6 so I am not playing til R4.

#1 rule of bridge jump - IF 3+ horses can win & you do not have a fig or pace edge, never bridge jump.

R1 - 3 was bridge jump worthy
R2 - 5 did not stand out on figs; 146 could beat him; no pace edge; M/L 3/5 was way too short!
