Leadership is asking me to draft a "strongly worded letter" instead of a subpoena for Ilhan Omar and her brother/husband's immigration records.

I said no.

Strongly worded letters don't get answers. Subpoenas do.

This is the problem - no backbone to pursue what everyone knows is wrong, and anyone who tries gets treated like the villain.

I'm not the villain. I'm doing my job.

Executive Director Robert Mujica is the man in charge of Puerto Rico’s so-called “bankruptcy recovery” that’s been ongoing for the last 10 years. Yesterday, Director Mujica testified at a US congressional hearing where he preached about the need for “fiscal responsibility.” But, less than an hour into the hearing, he openly admitted that his group has spent over $2 BILLION on consultants and lawyers throughout this process, which is more than 5X the cost estimated by Congress.

Two. Billion. Dollars. 😳😳😳 Straight into the pockets of elite consultants and law firms.

The people of Puerto Rico are the ones paying for this—families being forced by Congress to fund their own financial exploitation. The same board supposedly “protecting” them is bleeding them dry.

This smells like USAID 2.0, another scheme where corrupt bureaucrats and well-connected insiders get rich off of other people’s suffering. The Puerto Rico bankruptcy was supposed to help the island. It’s been ongoing for 10 years.

Instead, it’s turned into a gold rush for high-priced lawyers and swanky consulting firms with zero oversight or accountability.

Enough is enough. There should be an audit and an investigation dedicated to uncovering every dollar spent, every firm involved, and every name profiting at Puerto Rico’s expense.

I’m going to be watching this closely. 👀

This week we launched a now globally-viral series #BecomingBrigitte (which the mainstream media mocked me for discussing a year ago). We also topped the Spotify charts, launched our own platform with a book club and a vaccine podcast for parents, plus we finally released my sophomore book—which is proprietary to me rather than a publishing house and book agents.
While my haters spent their energy on legal letters (looking at you, Emmanuel & Brigitte!) we focused our energy on what we wanted to build rather than who or what we wanted to destroy.

And we did all of this with a team of 5. Truly a reminder that you cannot cry your way to success. And the best thing to do when the world laughs at you, is to work hard enough to get the last laugh.

Could not have done this without my incredible podcast team of 4, my husband who makes it all happen, and the people around the world who never flinched once or bought into the lies that were being sold about my character.

Just really want to thank you each and every one of you again and again from the bottom of my heart.

My family pulled through last year because of you. I want you to know that.

When we didn’t think things were fair, we went ahead and took our own advice and decided “life is tough”, got ourselves some helmets and went to work.

It was all worth it.
