Claire chose OCA for the flexibility to learn at her own pace while pursuing her passion for travel—and she’s accomplished an incredible goal along the way: visiting all 50 states! Outside of school, Claire stays busy as a dancer, Girl Scout, and participant in a monthly library craft group.

Senior Spotlight: Alexis S. 🎓✨

When Alexis S. made the decision to attend Ohio Connections Academy, she was ready for a fresh start — and she made it count. 💪📚

With the steady support of her teachers and the guidance of her homeroom teachers, Alexis improved her grades and rebuilt her confidence along the way. She also gives heartfelt credit to her grandparents, who encouraged her to keep pushing forward even when things felt tough. ❤️

Now, as she prepares to graduate, Alexis plans to pursue career opportunities with her current employer — turning her hard work into real-world momentum. 🚀💼

Ohio Connections Academy is a family affair for Jayce M, who often attends class with his two dogs by his side and whose sister also attends the school. 🐶🐶👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🎓

Jayce, a 4th-grade student, was named a Star Student at our school, which he has attended since 2021. ⭐📚🏫📆

Mrs. Quick, his math teacher, said, “Jayce is a hard worker and always comes to LiveLessons prepared, ready to learn! He consistently participates, treats his classmates with kindness, and sets a positive tone in our class. He truly upholds our goals each day by being respectful, being responsible, and being engaged, making him a wonderful example for others.” 👩‍🏫👏🌟🤝

🎓Senior Spotlight: Meet Molly!
Molly is wrapping up her senior year with determination and heart. From showing Market Breeding Goats and rabbits in 4-H to serving in a ministry focused on teen suicide prevention, she has made a meaningful impact both in her community and beyond.

With acceptances to more than 10 universities, she’s now deciding where she’ll begin her next chapter studying Animal Sciences on the Pre-Veterinary track.

5th-grader Navi B. has been named a 💫Star Student at Ohio Connections Academy! 💫

Nominated by her math teacher, Mrs. Amy Brewer, who shared, “Navi is a joy to have in class! She’s kind, uplifting, works hard, participates in every LiveLesson, and is an extremely talented artist. We’re lucky to have her!”

Her learning coach, Melissa, enrolled Navi in 2021 and says the flexibility made all the difference. Navi loves learning at home on her own schedule and says her favorite subjects are math, science, and language arts, thanks to her supportive teachers.

Outside of class, she enjoys drawing, sewing, video games, and her family has many pets. In the future, she wants to be a veterinarian “because I love animals and taking care of them.” Way to shine, Navi! 🌟
