The past week on placement has been full on!
-I’ve started to do more assessment and be more active in a patient’s treatment.
-The impact of covid has hit hard this week.
-I’m still loving learning about stroke/neuro rehab and the team I am in are amazing

First week of placement done. It’s been a shock to the system having a new routine and being back in a hospital setting for the first time since March but have really enjoyed it so far and think I’ll learn lots. Overall Feeling tired but positive! @UoW_OT #otstudent

@YvonnOT The dark and mornings and the evenings don’t help. But we have had winter solstice now and I’m starting to notice to getting a bit lighter.

Some tips for anyone struggling with #lockdown As occupational therapists we know that changes to the roles and routines which keep us well risks impacting on our health. We are good at thinking this through for others but usually a bit rubbish at applying to our own lives!

OT need to be part of the ‘first point of call’ especially in terms of social persibing often many of the health concerns that people attend GPS whuch can be related to social isolation, occupational deprivation, etc. Also in falls, long term I’llness management, etc etc
