@PrestonMitchum Symbolic holidays do not equal real action! Until we have the conversations about our biases we cannot move forward in various sectors. From an org standpoint it'll be interesting to see how employees of color are celebrated within this role versus just a day on the calendar.
The more I think about Juneteenth becoming a holiday, the more I think about the number of Black low wage and gig workers who have to work, knowing they will have to provide customer service to white people who can economically benefit from said holiday.
