Elly De La Cruz's improvement versus left-handed pitching deserves all of the credit it's receiving. He turned a big weakness into something he's now good at. That improvement alone is enough to create a leap for a player.
@RedsInFour I think it’s largely due to his personal biases as a pitcher in the big leagues. I think his insight into pitching is great, and I’ve never really seen him take issue with modern pitching analytics, just hitting.
