Overall great week got 2nd at coaches invitational and in the Hock meet need to really hone in on my start and start to run a more fluid race as we get towards the end of season. Really happy with my ability to stay in the mid 7.6 even after a long hard meet day on Thursday.
NATIONAL QUALIFIER!!! Was very blessed to be able to run a 7.69 which was able to qualify me for NB Nationals which has been a big dream of mine since the 8th grade. Overall I feel very happy with the race and know I can run so much faster as we get near the end of the szn!!
Film from my Hock Dual Meet and also wanted to add some practice clips to show that I have been working on my start to really perfect it still looking for my 6”0 PR in the high jump real excited for my meet this Thursday hoping to finally get my nattys qual and prove what I need!
Ran in the Boston Holiday meet was sick while running it unfortunately so my vision was a lil messed up but I was still able to go out there and be able to go 7.75 in the prelims and 7.84 even while knocking down the first three hurdles that slowed me down but very happy overall
Huge PR to start the season off going from 8.21 last year to 7.94 to start the szn off strong being able to show what ive been working on in the off szn. Also was able to get back up to 5”10 again to open the szn up for high jump and was able to be named a Hock Athlete to watch.
Hard week last week competing in a league meet Tuesday froshmore meet Friday and New Bedford invitational Friday major PR that i was able to stay around all week even with all the strain I was putting on my body now starting to just work on hurdles as states come around 🙏
First laser meet of the season didn’t preform as well in the hurdles but did do better then I imagined in the 100 and high jump which did also put a lot of strain on my knee but we just have to preserve hoping to be able to get better for my two invitationals Friday and Saturday
Video from my last meet getting a hand time of 16.04 which got messed up and put in as a 16.44 but felt real quicker over the hurdles in my new spikes and my knee felt a lot stronger hoping to be able to go back to jumps again for the next meet
Very late post but competed in the 110 hurdles on April 8th coming back from a knee injury still and had to run in freezing cold and strong winds that stopped me from being able to 3 step the final hurdle and couldn’t really finish through the line
No videos from the meet this Tuesday didn’t get a real attempt at a season opener re injuring my right knee during the 400 hurdles so I wasn’t able to compete in the 110 hurdles long jump or high jump should hopefully be back for the next meet Tuesday for a real season opener
Mass Divisional meet did the hurdles and high jump had a really bad start for the hurdles but picked it up a lot near the end and didn’t do very well in high jump but was the first high jump I did since being injured
Hockomock championship went out really slow in the prelims and tripped up a little in the finals at the start but picked it up a lot at the end and starting flying through the hurdles but will be focusing more on block starts going into divs on Wednesday!!
Two meets this week had to run them with a hurt knee didn’t start really well in the Hockomock meet and the Coaches invitational but I picked up speed near the end. Unfortunate what happened at the end of my race for coaches but nothing I can do there but keep working on my speed
Late post but Hockomock League meet 4 and 5 (dual meet) did hurdles and high jump felt very slow in the hurdles looked and felt like I was jogging need to fix that and hurt my knee during the high jump so I couldn’t continue past 5”4 hoping to be jumping again at divisional
Hockomock league meet #2 didn’t perform my best in the hurdles but still got a time of 8.32 and did very mediocre in the high jump with a final jump of 5”4 will be spending more time on speed training this week and my approach into my jumps for high jump
Late post but film from 1/4/25 MSTCA Froshmore meet which went very well for me with two massive PR’s getting a 5”10 in the High Jump and a 8.23 in the hurdles did trip up a little around the 3rd hurdle which slowed me down and allowed the person to catch up and beat me
